What are you doing in this lovely weather?

Anyone out flying, etc, or any projects on the go?

I have a load of work to do on a few helis but the weather is putting me off. I think I'm getting soft in my old age so I've been messing with electronics again.

This is my latest toy... A 'Pong' clock, powered by a little Arduino board with a real time clock attached.

    Happy New Year James.
Built two flyingwings for a friend over Christmas.
First was a Venturi Sport (50" wing span) from FlyingwingsUK http://www.flyingwings.co.uk/index.p...product_id=306
    With this set up
    APC style propeller 8x6-E..
    TURNIGY Plush 80A w/UBEC ESC..
NTM Prop Drive Series 35-36A 1400Kv motor..
    Full size metal geared servos..
    Turnigy 4000mAh 40c 4s Li-Pos..

We got to test fly it on St Stephens day, It's a rocket,, must be flying at 120+mph .

The second wing was an Assassin(34") from CrashTestHobby http://www.crashtesthobby.com/assassin-34.html
We like our combat wings and we have 6 combat flyers,,,
so this is the third Assassin wing in our club now(other wings can't take the beatings the Assassin gives them)
I bought one in summer 2012, another member the got one this summer 2013
and Peter got his for Christmas and I think one of the other lads in getting one soon as well..

We've all fitted the same set-up, which has been dopplered as nearly 90mph on a flat fly-by.
    D2826-6 2200kv Outrunner Motor..
    Turnigy Plush 40amp ESC..
    Turnigy nano-tech 1300mAh 45c/90c 3S..
    Turnigy TGY-9018MG Metal Gear Servo..
    APC 6x4e prop..
We've still to test fly the Assassin.

Two other Combat wings to arrive in the next few weeks.

For me, My wife bought me for Christmas,a Grim Reaper (55") http://www.crashtesthobby.com/grim-reaper-55.html
and theres a Titan(58") on the way aswell to another club member http://www.crashtesthobby.com/titan-58.html

So were all up-scaleing the Combat wings in size and speed..
    Roll on the good weather.
